About us and our values

QUALITY HOME CARE SERVICES WITH HIGH STANDARDS

Premier Community Services has been providing high quality domiciliary care for over 15 years. PCS provides a range of home care services covering Exmouth, Budleigh, Woodbury and surrounding areas. Our objective is to promote and uphold good practice and provide quality services in order to successfully attain and maintain Standards of excellence for all our clients and employees.

We have a strong management team who are on hand to support you at any time and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Working alongside the management team, is a dedicated team of carers, with over 50% of all staff having achieved an NVQ of various levels and are fully up to date with all mandatory training associated to the care field.

Premier Community Services considers its management team and employees to be the key ingredient in the delivery of a quality service and we strongly believe a competent workforce ensures good standards. Therefore, we provide opportunities for all staff to study and train in order to further develop their career within the Company.

Each one of our carers has been personally interviewed, screened and holds a Disclosure and Barring Service check. Our carers, who have secured supervisory positions, have attained or working towards NVQ Level 3 in ‘Care’ and have many years of experience in this field of work. All employees undertake mandatory updates and refresher courses on First Aid, Infection Control, Health and Safety Compliance, Supervisory in Management, Moving and Handling, Health and Hygiene. All the carers who administer medication are qualified in the Safe Handling of Medicines with regular updates and courses attended by those handling the medication.  However, we also encourage carers to attend courses that will enhance their role as an effective carer.

Any new employees joining us are expected to attend an Induction, which follows a comprehensive and robust training programme, then complete a period of ‘shadowing’ with a senior staff member or one of our experienced community care workers.
